Comrade Chandrashekhar and Shyamnarayan Yadav Remembered on their Martyrdom Anniversary

Various memorial programmes and meetings were organised to commemorate the martyrdom of beloved comrades Chandrashekhar Prasad, ex-President of JNU Students’ Union and Shyamnarayan Yadav who fell to the bullets of assassins sent by Shahabuddin in Siwan on 31 March, 1997. Meetings were held in memory of martyrs to reiterate the pledge to fight the fascist forces to defend democracy and the Constitution.

In memory of Comrade John K Erumeli

A memorial meeting of Comrade John K Erumeli, the secretary of the CPIML, was held at Trivandrum on 12th March. The newly elected state secretary Comrade Johnson Ambattu presided over the meeting. 

Comrade Balasundaram, the CC In Charge for the state fondly recollected the dedication and sacrificing values of Comrade John K Erumeli who led the party in most difficult times, right from the underground days. He said that fulfilling the dreams and carrying forward the unfulfilled tasks of the comrade is the fitting tribute.

Rise in rage against the institutional murder of Darshan Solanki!

AISA and RYA marched in Patna in solidarity on 19 Feb. with Darshan Solanki's family for justice and condemned the institutional murder of Darshan Solanki, an 18-year-old Dalit first year student of IIT Bombay who died by suicide on 12th Feb.

The students expressed their condolences to Darshan solanki's family and demanded a judicial enquiry into the death of Darshan Solanki. Since the time BJP-RSS came to power, there has been an increase in attacks on dalits, adivasis, women and other marginalised sections.

Tributes Paid to Comrade Kshitish Biswal

12th January 2022 marked the first death anniversary of comrade Kshitish Biswal. He was party Orissa State secretary and CC member for many years. A statue of him was inaugurated in his native village Tripuri of Puri district on this occasion by CPIML senior PB member comrade Swadesh Bhattacharya. Many leaders of left parties including CPI, CPIM, SUCI, Forward Block, from many social organisations as well as intellectuals of different fields and Professor Birendra Nayak were present on this occasion.

19th Martyrdom Day of Comrade Mahendra Singh Commemorated

The 19th Martyrdom anniversary of Comrade Mahendra Singh was observed in the form of a huge public rally in his home town Bagodar in Jharkhand on 16 January 2023. Lakhs of people took pledge to defeat fascism to realise the dreams of Comrade Mahendra Singh on this occasion. The Martyrdom Day was also observed in all districts of Jharkhand as well as by party units in other states. 

Condolence Meeting in the memory of Com. NK held at Coimbatore

A condolence meeting in the memory of Comrade Natarajan was held at Coimbatore held on 22nd Dec and was addressed by Comrade Dipankar, the General Secretary of the party. On December 10 (Human Rights Day), while addressing the party's Dindigul District Committee meeting, Comrade Natarajan had suffered breathlessness around 4 PM and was taken to the Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital, after first aid in some private hospital.

Pledge Day Observed on 24th Memorial Day of Comrade Vinod Mishra

CPIML commemorated the 24th anniversary of the death of comrade Vinod Mishra as pledge day to reiterate its resolve of strengthening the fight against communal fascist forces. Meetings, conventions and other programmes were organised in all states which were attended by thousands of party members and supporters who rededicated themselves to the mission of fulfilling his dreams.

Homage Paid To Com. Jauhar, Ratan And Nirmal On Their Martyrdom Anniversary

CPIML ranks and files across the country paid their homage to Comrades Jauhar, Ratan and Nirmal on their martyrdom anniversary on 29 November 2022. In Patna, the program was organised at CPIML Bihar State Office. State secretary Kunal paying tributes said that the fight to build a people’s India, for which comrades Jauhar, Ratan and Niraml gave their lives continues today, He further noted that their revolutionary legacy continues to inspire and guide our struggle against today’s undeclared emergency and fascist assault by Modi government.
