The 3 Left parties in Uttarakhand (CPI, CPIM and CPIML) will enter the 2022 electoral battle jointly in Uttarakhand with the slogan 'Oust BJP, Build Left Opposition'. This announcement was made on 22 September by CPI State Secretary Samar Bhandari, CPIM State Secretary Rajendra Singh Negi and CPIML State Secretary Raja Bahuguna at a joint press conference in Dehradun.

The Cabinet decision to approve Central Government guarantee of up to Rs 30,600 crore to back security receipts issued by the National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL) as part of the resolution of bad loans, is another attempt to disguise its policy of cronyism and drain on depositors’ and tax-payers’ money to mislead people.

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal has asked the Govt of Bihar to ensure the supply of required amounts of urea scarcity of which has created a panic situation in the state. In the current year Bihar has received less than 1 lakh metric tonnes of urea. Earlier, unseasonal rains rotted the paddy seeds, crops were damaged and so transplantation could not be done on time; then the floods came causing chaos across the state; and now the urea issue is causing problems.

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal said that the 2018-19 CAG report confirms the Bihar government's utter failure in implementation of government schemes, rampant institutional corruption and neglect of MNREGA and related issues that our party has been raising consistently.

Courts Should Refrain From Delivering Ideological Orders Punishing Environmental And Social Activists

An order by the Uttarakhand High Court imposing a Rs 10000 fine each on five environmental activists for a PIL filed by them, will serve to intimidate and deter any citizen from raising environmental and social concerns that conflict with the interests of corporate projects.
