Long march by tribal farmers clinches victory on the 12th Day

More than fifteen thousand tribal farmers marched on foot for 12 days from Maharashtra’s Nandurbar to Mumbai under the banner of Satyashodhak Shetkari Sabha affiliated Kisan Mahasabha. The long culminated in Nasik on December 18 with the government agreeing to demand of the tribal farmers, which included implementation of Forest Rights Act, schemes for tribals, forest rights assigned to tribals and permission to conduct various agricultural practices.

Fourth meeting of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc’s was held in New Delhi on 19 December, which witnessed gathering of leaders of 28 political parties ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections. The meeting adopted two resolutions – condemning the suspension of 142 opposition MPs from both houses of the parliament and raising concern regarding the integrity of EVMs. 

12 Rescue Miners who Saved their Class Brethren from Collapsed Silkyara Tunnel Felicitated by CPIML

“We fulfilled our duty to the Nation”, “We did it for our brothers who were trapped, it could have been us”- these are the words by Wakeel Hassan and Munna Qureshi at today’s felicitation ceremony of the 12 rescue miners who rescued the 41 trapped workers from Uttarkashi’s Silkyara tunnel. The nation watched how these rescue workers helped the fellow workers come out of 17 days long entrapment.
CPIML held a ‘Shramik Samman Samaroh’ to felicitate the 12 rescue miners at its Central Office, Charu Bhawan at Delhi on 15 December.

CPIML Booklet on Caste Survey Lunched in Bihar

Bihar State Committee of CPIML organised a state level convention of party activists at Ravindra Bhawan, Patna on December 7 to deliberate on the findings of the Bihar caste survey and the socio-economic data of Bihar households. A booklet was released by the State Committee analysing the figures and highlighting the core agenda of development to lift Bihar from the shackles of acute poverty. As found out by the survey 64% households of Bihar, roughly two out of every three, have to make do with a total monthly income of less than Rs 10,000.

Dr. BR Remembered on His 67th Death Anniversary

Dr. BR Ambedkar was remembered on his 67th death anniversary at all major centres of party work. Public  meetings, Seminars, Conventions were organised on this occasion in all states including Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh where his contributions towards building an egalitarian India based on social and gender justice was remembered. 

The death anniversary of Baba Saheb became an occasion this year to highlight the assault on the constitution and democracy by fascist forces.

UP Govt order to Imprison Women Within Walls in the Name of Safety is Discriminatory and Condemnable: AISA

All India Students Association (AISA) has strongly condemned the recent order by Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh banning  coaching institutes from conducting late evening classes for girl students. This anti-women and gender discriminatory decree has been brought through the new guidelines of 'Safe City Project' issued by the UP government.
