Farmers’ Shaheen Baghs Blooming across Country: Dipankar Bhattacharya


CPIML organized a countrywide protest day on 30 November against the brutal repression unleashed on farmers on their way to Delhi. The three draconian anti-farm laws passed by the Modi government undemocratically in Parliament are being opposed by farmers and all sections of people in the country. The repression let loose by the central government as well as Haryana’s BJP government was opposed in all states through people’s protests. Protests and Modi-effigy burnings by the CPIML and Kisan Mahasabha were held in all major centers.

Banaras Weavers Protest Against Yogi Government


Weavers in Banaras under the banner of Sajha Bunkar Manch (Joint Weavers Forum) protested against betrayal by the Yogi government on 24 October and demanded a package for weavers and reinstatement of the old system of flat rate electricity bill. The protests were held at many mohallas including Kamalpura, Phulwaria, Anar ki Bagh, Jalalipura, Batlohia, Saraiya, Danialpur, Ambia ki Bagh, Madaiyya and Khwajapura.

On 20 October 2020 people affected by the demolition of jhuggis in Batla House-Dhobighat protested in front of the residences of the CM and LG and submitted memorandums.
