CPIML Campaign against Increasing Oppression Under Yogi-Raj in UP

 

The CPIML Uttar Pradesh unit carried out a campaign from 14 to 20 July 2020 against the increasing oppression against dalits and adivasis, repression against activists, and escalating crime under the Yogi government, and for the protection of democracy and justice. During the campaign 19 July was dedicated to the demand for release of Dr Kafeel Khan incarcerated in Mathura Jail under NSA.

Protests in Bihar to Demand Sacking of State Health Minister

 

CPIML organized protests on 23 July 2020 across Bihar on the issues of sacking the incompetent Health Minister Mangal Pandey under whose watch the health system in Bihar has gone to an abysmal low; testing and treatment for Corona at all primary health centers; ICUs at all Block and Sub-divisional hospitals; distribution of free sanitizers and masks among the poor; taking private hospitals under government control; and a high level enquiry into the killing of Ex-Under Secretary in the state home department Umesh Rajak.

Thousands of Migrant Workers Protest at Block HQs in Bihar

Thousands of migrant workers responded to the joint call by CPIML, AICCTU, AIARLA and Pravasi Mazdoor Union on 7 July 2020 and reached Block HQs across the Bihar where they submitted memorandums to the Block Development Officers. In a joint statement, CPIML State Secretary Kunal and AIARLA General Secretary Dhirendra Jha said that this protest is an expression of the anger migrant workers are feeling at being so treacherously betrayed by the BJP and JDU.

Protests in Uttar Pradesh against Increasing Attacks on Dalits

CPIML held statewide protests in Uttar Pradesh on 17 June against the increasing incidents of killings and attacks against adivasis and dalits and repression of Left activists and anti-CAA protesters. The protests were organized at homes, work places, Party offices and villages while maintaining physical distancing and other Covid-19 preventive measures.
