Sack Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi For Her Abusive Remarks

AS Chennai struggles with severe water shortage, the Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi added insult to the suffering of Tamil Nadu’s and Chennai’s people. She tweeted in Hindi blaming “poor governance, corrupt politics, indifferent bureaucracy and selfish and cowardly/weak people” for the fact that Chennai, which suffered severe flooding four years back, is now “the first city in the country to run dry.”

CPIML to Contest Three Lok Sabha Seats in Punjab

IN the ongoing General elections in India, the elections to Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will be held in the seventh phase on 19 May. CPIML has decided to field candidates in Gurdaspur, Bathinda and Sangrur. Com. Ashiwini Kumar Chalotra will be the party’s candidate from Gurdaspur, Worker’s leader Com. Bhagwant Singh Samaon will be the party’s candidate from Bathinda and peasant leader Com. Gurnam Singh Bheekhi will be the party’s candidate from Sangrur. The party has also decided to support candidates representing democratic, left and organizational voices on select seats.

Joint Left Convention in Hazaribagh

LEFT parties organized a joint convention on 9 April 2019 at the Ohdar Patel Bhavan, Ramgarh to campaign for Comrade Bhuvaneshwar Mehta, CPI candidate from the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency. CPI leader Com. Bhuvaneshwar Prasad Mehta, CPIML Central Committee member Com. Shubhendu Sen, MCC leader Com. Mithilesh Singh, and CPI-M leaders comrades Gopichand Bakshi and Ramchandra Thakur addressed the convention which was attended by hundreds of Left activists.

Left Parties Organize Joint Convention in Jhumri Tilaiyya (Jharkhand)

THREE Left Parties, the CPI, CPI-M and CPIML organized a joint cadre convention on 7 April 2019 at Jhumri Tilaiyya with a call to make CPIML candidate Com. Rajkumar Yadav victorious and send him to Parliament. The main slogan of the convention was ‘Oust BJP, Save Democracy, Hoist the Red Flag over Koderma Lok Sabha Constituency’. The joint convention was presided over by CPI-M Koderma District Secretary Com. Ramesh Prajapati and conducted by CPIML State Committee member Com. Shyamdev Yadav. The main speaker was the Koderma Lok Sabha candidate and Rajdhanwar MLA Com. Rajkumar Yadav.

Youth Campaign for Raju Yadav in Ara LS Constituency

AISA has organized several meetings in the Ara Lok Sabha constituency with maximum participation of students and youth. These meetings were held at Balua, Sohra and Tribhuani (Badhara Block), Jamalpur (Koilvar Block), Ratanpur, Bheldumra, Belvania, Bara, Khushhalpur, Kaushik Dularpur and Ganghar (Ara Mofussil), Bibiganj, Chhotki Sasaram and Karisath (Udvantnagar Block), Shahpur, Gareya, Doghra and Char Ghat (Shahpur Block). A large number of students and youth from outside the Party ambit also took part in the meetings.
