Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya campaigned in support of Sandip Saurav, CPIML candidate from Nalanda from 20-22 May. He was accompanied by Uttarakhand and Karnataka state secretaries comrades Indresh Maikhuri and Clifton D’ Rozario. Party’s polit bureau members Dhirendra Jha and Shashi Yadav have already been camping in that constituency.
They addressed many cadre conventions and led road shows along with thousands of youth, workers, scheme workers and prominent citizens. Sandip Saurav has prominently raised the issue of permanent employment and respectable remunerations of ASHA, Aanganwadi and Jeevika workers during his campaign. His campaign and mass meetings have also attracted a huge number of youths and students in that constituency.
Sandip Saurav has criticised the administrative pressure being built up forcing the scheme workers to vote in support of ruling party candidates. He said that a protest letter will be sent condemning this open violation of election code of conduct. He is raising the demand of minimum remuneration of Rs. 21000 for scheme workers in his campaign.
Shashi Yadav, MLC and party’s PB member said that an election charter has been circulated including the important issues of the people in this constituency which is also our resolve for the struggle in the forthcoming days. The party will strive hard for establishing the values of social justice and communal harmony in the society against the divisive forces. The people of Bihar are exhibiting their determination to vote out a dictatorial regime and strive for a government that can address their basic needs for employment, education, health and agriculture.
