Comrade Shivani Verma, CPIML district committee member and AIPWA state committee member and district president, died on 14 February 2024 at Madhuraj Nursing Home, Kanpur, UP. On January 29, 2024, she fell ill with pneumonia and was admitted to Madhuraj Nursing Home, but her health continued to deteriorate. On 14 February, she breathed her last in the hospital at around 3 pm.
Coming from a middle-class working family, she was active in the party since around 1978. She had been at the forefront of party activities, both during the underground and after the party became open. She played an important role in forming and strengthening the AIPWA in Kanpur.
Her unwavering determination and dedication were consistently evident in her party activities and struggles, and it served as a source of inspiration for many.
