Comrade Qayamuddin (Sadhu Ji), former Branch Secretary, Abarpul Ara passed away at the age of 80 at his home on the morning of 17 May 2020. On getting the news of his demise, many leaders went to his home to pay their last respects, including Bhojpur District Secretary and CC members Jawahar Lal Singh, Raju Yadav, and other leaders including Qayamuddin Ansari, Dilraj Pritam, Rajnath Ram, Rajendra Yadav, Rajan, Pappu Gupta and others.

Comrade Qayamuddin joined the Party in 1976 and remained with the Party till the end. He was known for participating in all Party struggles holding aloft the red flag. He was active in the anti-feudal struggles in Ara during the 70s and played an important role in building the Party in Ara City with Comrades Jainu Master, Sufiyan, Bigu Chaudhury, Hariji Gupta and Azru Ji. Comrade Qayamuddin was a tailor by profession and he along with other Comrades led the successful Silai Mazdoor Andolan and Footpath Andolan, thus establishing rapport for the Party among the poor. He always played an important role in anti-communal and anti-criminal struggles. These dedicated Comrades are no longer amongst us but their struggles will always remain a source of inspiration for us.
