COMRADE Surendra Prasad Yadav passed away in the afternoon of 11 November 2019. He was suffering from lung and brain cancer and had been undergoing treatment. He was about 77 years old.
Comrade Surendra Prasad was with the Communist Party from his student days onwards, and he remained a dedicated Communist all his life. He was a full-time CPIML activist and worked on the Kisan front. He was the Patna District President of the All India Kisan Mahasabha as well as a member of the State Executive and the State Council. His commitment to the people and the Party was steadfast and unfailing. He often faced state repression during his political life and had spent a considerable part of his life in jail. His leaving us at this juncture is not only a loss for the Communist movement but also a big blow to the farmers’ struggle.
