AICCTU General Secretary Comrade Rajiv Dimri congratulated the AICCTU - IREF (Indian Railway Employees Federation) affiliated unions for achieving victory in ECR (East Central Railway Zone), NER (North East Railway Zone), RCF (Railway Coach Factory), Kapurthala (Punjab) (all three-1st position) and SECR (South East Central Railway, 2nd position).
AICCTU - IREF affiliated unions in these zones have secured victory in the railway union elections and are entitled for recognition. In other zones too our zonal unions have registered a strong presence and have engaged in a healthy and stiff competition.
Comrade Rajiv Dimri extended revolutionary greetings and red salute to all railway employees and workers of various categories, right from loco pilots, trackmen to guards, for their valuable support to IREF. IREF has always been in the forefront of the struggles of rail workers for OPS (Old Pension Scheme), higher wages and better working conditions and against NPS, privatisation, contractualisation and various other attacks.
After the victory, AICCTU – IREF reiterated and resolved to further intensify and carry forward the struggles to protect the interests of all rail employees.
