Pension Rally for OPS  organized in Patna

Pension Manavadhikhar Maharally was organized in Patna at Sanjay Gandhi stadium on Dec 10, 2023. The rally got massive response and thousands of government employees demanding Old Pension Scheme (OPS) attended the rally. Besides National Movement For Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS), Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees MahaSangh (Gope Group), Front Against NPS in Railway, AICCTU and others organized sustained campaign and candle marches as part of build up for the rally in different districts of Bihar. 

Addressing the rally National Secretary of All India Scheme Workers Federation (AISWF) Shashi Yadav said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will have to implement OPS in Bihar. Chief Guest of the rally and National President of NMOPS Vijay Kumar Bandhu said that Vote for OPS campaign is leading to formation of govts in various States. He said the campaign made difference in elections of Karnataka, Himachal and Jharkhand and the fact that in postal ballots the INC was leading in recently held elections in five States also indicates the support the demand amongst the employees. Rally was inaugurated with cultural performance of JASAM team. Popular folk singer Neha Singh Rathore also sang songs in solidarity with the demands of employees of Bihar for OPS.  

In evening a joint delegation led by Vijay Kumar Bandu, Dr Kamal Usri, Premchand Sinha met CPI (ML) Legislative Assembly leader Com. Mahbob Alam and Deputy leader Satyadev Ram with the appeal that in coming session of Bihar assembly issue of OPS should be raised strongly and got the assurance from the leaders that it will be done. Earlier CPI (ML) Polit Bureau member Com Dhirenda Jha while addressing the rally said that the party stand in complete solidarity with the demand of the employees for the OPS and is known for raising such pro-people issues.
