Against Price Rise

Left parties CPIML, CPI and CPIM organized a joint protest at the culmination of the nationwide anti-inflation and anti-unemployment campaign between 25 May and 31 May at Civic Centre Chowk in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The protest meeting was addressed by CPI leader Vinod Kumar Soni, CPIM leaders Vakil Bharti, Shanta Kumar, DVS Reddy and CPIML leader Ashok Miri. The Left leaders asked why the present leaders who had protested against gas cylinder price rise when they were in the Opposition are silent now that the price of a cylinder has crossed Rs 1000. Ration prices have gone up by 40%. Petrol-diesel prices have crossed Rs 100. The common man is in misery but the government is diverting main issues by spreading communal poison and crushing voices of dissent through Bulldozer Raj. But the people have recognized this and will not allow bulldozers to be stomped over housing of the poor, employment, social harmony and the Constitution of India.
