The CPIML, Bharatiya Kisan Union along with some other organizations have formed the Nisha Yadav ko Nyay Do Manch (Justice for Nisha Yadav Front). The Front has organized a hunger strike and dharna since 14 May 2022 at the District HQ in Chandauli. The hunger strike was commenced by CPIML State Secretary Sudhakar Yadav who sat on a 50-hour hunger strike. BKU Block Secretary Manidev Chaturvedi and leaders of other organizations also sat with him on hunger strike. After the first 50 hours AIPWA took the reins and the next 50 hours were led by women comrades, including District Secretary Pramila Maurya, State Secretary Kusum Verma and popular rural workers leader from Mirzapur Jeera Bharti. The serial hunger strike continues, led by the CPIML District unit.
Meanwhile, SP, CPIML, CPIM and some other organizations held a joint meeting and decided to submit a memorandum to the Collector demanding arrest of the guilty persons. On 20 May seven Opposition parties including SP, CPIML and CPIM submitted a memorandum to the DM giving an ultimatum of 10 days for the arrest of Thana Head UP Singh, failing which the agitation would be intensified.
Meanwhile the hunger strike for Justice for Nisha Yadav continues and a mass protest at the District HQ by the end of May is being planned.
