CPIML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya congratulated the people for the huge victory of RJD candidate Amar Paswan in the Bochaha Assembly bye-election. He said that this is a reassuring victory of the Mahagathbandhan against the NDA at a time when the BJP is relentlessly trying to impose the Uttar Pradesh model in Bihar.
CPIML Bihar State Secretary said that the people of Bochaha have given a tight slap to the BJP by rejecting the politics of hate and frenzy, mob lynching, and opportunism. The BJP had deployed its big Ministers and leaders for campaigning who employed every trick from money power to muscle power, but the people did not fall for any of these tricks. Even a part of traditional BJP voters voted in favour of the Mahagathbandhan. The huge victory of Mahagathbandhan-supported RJD candidate Amar Paswan reflects the people's anger against back-breaking inflation, growing unemployment, deteriorating law and order, increasing repression against dalits and women, dire condition of education and health for which the BJP-JDU government is responsible.
He further said that anger is also visible against the way the BJP treated its ally the Vikassheel Insan Party, proving itself to be an opportunistic 'use and throw' party. CPIML’s presence in this constituency has been intense and this is an area of historic and revolutionary farmers' struggles and party activists worked hard for the victory of the RJD candidate in the Bochaha bye-election. The CPIML-RJD unity worked for the victory of the Mahagathbandhan candidate by a huge margin of votes, he said.
