para teacher

THE CPI(ML) and its people’s organizations organized protests across Jharkhand to protest against the brutal lathi charge on thousands of para teachers (and journalists) protesting for their rights and dignity on the occasion of Jharkhand Foundation Day. In Bagodar, a protest march was organized on 16 November from Kisan Bhawan and proceeded through the bazaar to GT Road Chowk where the effigy of dictatorial Chief Minister Raghubar Das was burnt.

The CPI (ML) Jainagar Block committee also organized a protest march and effigy burning at Pipcho Bazaar against the lathi charge on para teachers and the attack on journalists, raising slogans against the autocratic Raghubar government, demanding justice, rights, and dignity for para teachers and security for journalists. Addressing the effigy burning program, the speakers on the occasion said that the Modi and Raghubar governments are functioning as dictatorships just like Hitler. By unleashing the brutal lathi charge on para teachers, the government has confirmed that it is a government of and for capitalist corporate houses; such a government has no right to remain in power. They said that the common people are not safe under the Modi and Raghubar governments. Para teachers and journalists are being attacked. Journalists are the mirror to society and they along with farmers, workers, adivasis, dalits, students, and youth are being attacked under these governments. They added that the people have resolved to throw out this anti-people government in the 2019 elections. Government schools in Jharkhand are able to run because of the services of para teachers, but these teachers were treated as if they were terrorists and brutally beaten. This government is the worst the country has seen after independence, and the people will definitely teach them a befitting lesson in the coming elections.

AISA and RYA also organized a protest at Kadambari Chowk against the lathi charge, and burnt the effigy of CM Raghubar Das. Addressing the protest, CPI (ML) Jamua constituency leader Com. Ashok Paswan said that the BJP government has constantly cheated the youth; the manner in which the para teachers were attacked and lathi charged brings back memories of the imperialist British government. The CPI (ML) and the red flag are with the para teachers in their struggle.
