Lenin

CPIML activists observed the 51st Foundation Day of the Party and the 150th birthday of the architect of socialist revolution Comrade Lenin by taking a pledge to abolish hunger, prevent Corona, demolish the communal virus, and build socialism. The Party flag was hoisted at Party offices and it was resolved to fulfill Comrade Lenin’s dream of socialism. Tributes were paid to Comrade Charu Mazumdar and all other martyred comrades.

CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya addressed Party activists through a video message on the occasion and called upon them to rise to the challenges we face today. He said that this phase is indeed an extremely difficult one but the interests of the people are the interests of our Party, so we pledge to abolish hunger, prevent Corona, and demolish the communal virus.

He said that in this difficult time the BJP and Sangh are busy spreading hatred. Today physical distancing is necessary but we need social solidarity to defeat Corona. The BJP-Sangh are propagating social distancing in the name of Corona and are spreading hatred against Muslims, dalits, and the poor by saying that they are responsible for spreading Corona. The poor and weak are being mortally attacked. Social-economic boycott against Muslims is being instigated. We must fight with all our strength against this. We stand firmly with those affected by Corona as well as those affected by the Lockdown, and we will continue to stand firmly with them in future also.

Comrade Dipankar further said that the Corona crisis is worst in capitalist countries. America is the worst affected. Clearly, capitalist policies are proving to be a failure. Capitalist health policies could not give life security to the people. We need a new policy and that new policy can only by a socialist system. Today is the birth anniversary of Comrade Lenin who led the first successful socialist revolution. We pledge today to fulfill his dream of building socialism.
